Mani Ratnam may be on the wishlist of several B-Town stars. But busy actress Priyanka Chopra has no time for him.

The actress has been shooting round-the-clock for two films Karan Johar's Agneepath and Anurag Basu's

Burfi.

Going Tamil

Apparently, the Raavan director plans to cast her in Veerudu, a Tamil period flick.

A source confirms that Mani's people want to meet PC, but she's unable to commit because of time constraints.

Doing justice

The source offers details, "Ratnam's period film is set in 1500 BC and he feels that the Saat Khoon Maaf actress would be able to do justice to the character."

A source close to Priyanka confirms that she's quite kicked about the offer. "She plans to meet to him personally as soon as possible. This would be her first Tamil film, and it's believed to have a huge budget allocated to build huge sets and also use some exciting SFX."

The project will also feature south actors Vijay, Mahesh Babu and Arya and Anushka Shetty.

Hope it is not the fate of Ratnam's last offering Raavan that is making PC not find time for the veteran director.

The film is based on a Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan and tells the story of the courageous warrior Vallavarayan Vandiyatheyan and King Aditha Karikalan which will be played by Vijay and Mahesh Babu. Anushka will play Vijay and Mahesh Babu's younger sister.

"I don't think Priyanka is an actress!"

Looks like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra just have to take a swipe at each other. The two don't mince words when it comes to reacting to each others' statements. Bebo recently quipped, "I don't think Priyanka is an actress!" When Piggy Chops was asked for a rebuttal, she coolly replied, "Everyone has their opinion, but I think Kareena is an actress."

Yeh silsila started on Koffee With Karan where Bebo made fun of PC's accent and the latter put the ball back in her court by saying her style of talking came from the same place as Saif Ali Khan's! Does PC's thanda answer mean the cold war will now thaw? We hope not. After all, who doesn't love a catfight. Meeoooow!

Shahid: Please forgive me!

Shahid Kapoor is going all out to woo Priyanka Chopra back into his arms, confirm sources. In fact, when she returned on Friday from her Don 2 shoot in Malaysia, he kept bombarding her with 'miss you' and 'let's work it out' SMSes.

Her absence from his birthday party (on February 25) has affected him to such an extent that he's been sending her flowers and texting her constantly.

Says a source close to the couple, "Their constant fights and arguments led to the break up.

She didn't want to be in town during his birthday. That's why she planned her US holiday around the same time. Hence she travelled with friends who didn't have any connection to the industry.

After that she took off for Malaysia to join the Don 2 unit. It was important for her to take a clean break from her guy."

Shahid, however, hasn't taken the split as well. Realising he is at fault, he's even ready to apologise. But PC is in no mood to forgive just yet.

The source confirms, "When she's in love, there's no holding back. With Shahid, she decided to go that extra mile and make it work.

That said, this hasn't been their first break up, but it's definitely the most painful. At the moment, she's not responding to his calls or messages. But common friends are trying to get them back together."

Who knows? Maybe this on-off jodi will have one more go at it!

Shahid Kapoor And Priyanka Chopra Reunite For New Year

Bollywood actors and rumored couple Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have decided that the only way to solve the differences that have greatly affected their blooming relationship in the past is to spend quality time with one another. Therefore, the couple are headed to a resort in Chandigarh to spend a quiet and romantic New Year. Many would be surprised by the choice of location for celebrations, but the news is that Shahid Kapoor is busy with the filming work of his latest movie Mausam in the Punjab capital, and will only get a break during the New Year!

However, a spokesman for Priyanka Chopra has vehemently rubbished rumors of her going to Chandigarh to spend the New Year holiday. On the other hand, another source says that the couple have already made necessary arrangements at a resort in Chandigarh. The media on its part can only hope for a reunion of the couple, whose relationship as was understood over a Koffee chat with Karan Johar, is a victim of misunderstandings created by other people.

Shahid and Priyanka were announced a couple after the audience loved their superb chemistry in Kaminey and since then the actors are trying hard to maintain that they are only good friends in front of media cameras. A source is of the opinion that it was on the sets of ‘Koffee With Karan’ that the actors sorted out their problems and then decided to give each other a little time to understand where their relationship is going.

Hence, Shahid Kapoor will be taking a break from work in the New Year weekend, Priyanka Chopra will drop in at Chandigarh and the media will be waiting for a confirmation!
