Lindsay Lohan to play Sharon Tate in biopic?

While Lindsay Lohan’s legal problems roll on, word on the street is that the actress is still interested in, uh, acting.

Gossip website TMZ claim that Lohan has been offered the lead role in a biopic about murdered actress Sharon Tate, who was killed by the followers of occultist Charles Manson.

Lohan has apparently been offered the role, but she’s yet to come to a decision over it.

Tate was the late wife of director Roman Polanski, who was murdered in 1969 while pregnant with the filmmaker’s child.

TMZ also state that photographer Tyler Shields will direct and star in the film as Manson.

Pure internet gossip? Or is there a grain of truth to it? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out.

Good News for Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan has every reason to smile right now.

Turns out she will not be charged with battery for allegedly attacking staff member Dawn Holland during her stint at the Betty Ford Center.

Back in December, Holland
reportedly told police that the 24-year-old shoved her and grabbed a telephone
from her hand but then ultimately decided not to press charges.

Lohan is now officially off
the hook after prosecutors announced that there was insufficient evidence to
charge her with the crime.

With that out of the way,
now the Mean Girl can
focus on the felony theft case she’s contending regarding the $2,500 necklace
she’s been accused of stealing from a Venice, California jewelry store.

Lohan Caught Up In Nightclub Clash

Lindsay Lohan was caught up in a clash between actress Paz De La Huerta and a model during a night out in New York at the weekend (19-20Mar11).

The troubled movie star was enjoying drinks with her pal Samantha Swetra at a Manhattan bar on Saturday night when de la Huerta approached their table for a chat.

But the Boardwalk Empire actress lost her footing and took a tumble, prompting Swetra to break down in a fit of giggles - and de la Huerta reportedly failed to see the funny side.

She allegedly lashed out at Swetra and also smashed a bottle, showering the actress' leg with glass as a stunned Lohan looked on, according to the New York Daily News.

A source tells the publication, "Blood was dripping down (Swetra's) leg. Lindsay was pulling shards of glass off of it."

De la Huerta was allegedly escorted from the Top Of The Standard venue, and Lohan and Swetra - both looking "horrified" - left shortly afterwards.

Swetra was later seen sporting a bruised face and a swollen lip, and tells the publication she wants to press charges over the alleged incident.

Lindsay Lohan Considers Plea Deal In Theft Case

Lindsay Lohan, pictured at Bowlmor Lanes with brother Michael Jr. in New York City on March 18, is reportedly considering a plea deal. It had been reported the entire way through her felony grand theft case that she’d have no choice but to take a plea deal; a deal that would mean certain jail time. I didn’t really pay much attention because she’s already served jail sentences (for minutes and also for weeks at the end of last year). Despite the judge’s insistence any sentence would be harsh because he was unimpressed by her fame (as in, she wouldn’t be allowed to walk just because she was a celebrity), I’d be pretty sure she’d only serve days; weeks at most. She’d be out before I got her latest mug shot up. Well, in any case, Judge Keith Schwartz has told Lohan’s defense attorney Shawn Chapman Holley the offer on the table is three months in jail for the actress (with only about three weeks of that time actually served, due to overcrowding).

GossipCop.com adds the pressure is on, because ‘should Lohan decide to go to trial, she risks spending at least a year in prison.’ Lohan is due back in court this Friday to give her decision. If she chooses not to accept a plea deal, she will appear before Judge Stephanie Sautner April 22 for a preliminary trial hearing.

Lohan's 'Booze' Blunder

Lindsay Lohan has accidentally broken her probation by drinking a fermented tea containing alcohol, according to a report.

The Mean Girls actress was banned from downing booze as a condition of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction.

She is currently on bail after the order was revoked last month following accusations she stole a necklace from a Los Angeles jewellery store.

Now she could face even more legal woes after confessing to officials that she accidentally consumed alcohol by sipping mugs of kombucha tea, which contains a small amount of booze, according to TMZ.com.

Lohan Offered 90 Days Behind Bars In Plea Deal - Report

Lindsay Lohan has been offered a 90-day stint in jail as part of a plea bargain agreement relating to charges she violated probation by stealing a necklace from a store, according to a new report.

The actress faces a preliminary hearing on allegations she stole the $2,500 (£1,670) piece of jewellery from a Venice, California store and is due back in court on 25 March to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to try the case.

However, prosecutors have offered her a sentence of no more than 90 days in jail if she pleads guilty to grand theft, according to the Los Angeles Times.

In court last week (ends11Mar11), the Mean Girls star refused to consider any plea deal and maintained she never took anything intentionally.

Lohan was told by the judge that no plea deal would save her from serving jail time.

Lindsay Lohan Surveillance Video Photos Hit the Web

Scenes from a surveillance video allegedly showing Lindsay Lohan stealing a $2,500 necklace will appear on a Web site and still images already are on the Internet.

The Spencer Co. of Beverly Hills says it will stream parts of the video "shortly" but did not specify when or how much of the video would be shown.

"Speculation as to what occurred that day has been the subject of intense rumor in the media and elsewhere," says the company on its Web site. "Many individuals want to be able to see the video streams from the jewelry store’s surveillance cameras, and we have obtained the exclusive license for them. The tapes speak for themselves."

News organizations wanting rights to the video were directed to the Associated Press, which is working with the Spencer Co. "by agreement," the site says. It doesn't say how it obtained the video, though reports say the jewelry store sold it.

Stills from the video showing Lohan walking around the store and trying on jewelry were posted by Entertainment Tonight.

Lohan, 24, faces a grand theft charge for allegedly walking away with the necklace from the Kamofie & Co. store in Venice, Calif., in January. Lohan has indicated it was all a mistake, that she thought she was allowed to borrow the necklace.

Lindsay Lohan Update: District Attorney to Decide on Battery Charge for 24-Year-Old Actress

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) Lindsay Lohan's freedom now rests in the hands of the Riverside County district attorney's office, which will decide whether or not the embattled actress should be charged with battery for last month's tussle with a Betty Ford Center rehabilitation technician. If the district attorney's office decides Lohan's skirmish with the rehab worker warrants a battery charge, the Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox, who has dealt with Lohan in the past, has said the rehabbed socialite could be sent back to jail for violating the terms of her probation.
John Hall, a spokesman for the district attorney's office, said the findings from the Palm Desert Police Department's probe into Lohan's run-in with Dawn Holland were received Thursday; however, his office is still waiting for additional material from investigators and he did not know when a decision would be made.
The altercation in question occurred Dec 12 after Lohan attempted to sneak back into the rehab center after curfew and reportedly refused technician Dawn Holland's request to submit to a breathalyzer test.
Holland, who was later fired for giving an interview to TMZ, claims that Lohan became belligerent, pushed her, and snatched a phone from her hand causing her to severely sprain her right arm.
Although Holland is no longer pursuing charges, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Tuesday that she violated her probation and wanted her charged with battery.
Lohan was released from the Betty Ford Center about 120 miles east of Los Angeles this week after receiving treatment there since late September in connection with her 3 1/2 year-old drunken driving case.
Lohan's next scheduled hearing before the judge is Feb. 25.
