X-Men: First Class Gets a First Class at Box Office

X-Men: First Class movie had its opening for wider audiences and nabbing the top place at box office as well X-Men: First Class movie became the winner. Twentieth Century Fox backed project had manged to live up to its expected standard by earning an impressive amount of $56 million as studio had hoped the movie to show an opening grossing between $45 million and $55 million. Winner of last week the The Hangover Part II movie which had debuted as a record breaking comedy flick had to take one step down but not before managing to tuck an amount of $32.4 under its belt. Thus it seems that among the new openings of last week viewers had been given the chance to enjoy the best among them.

Considering the way in which X-Men: First Class movie has done at box office it should be added that the prequel is going to be the beginning of another fine franchise and the decision made by the studio to have up and coming stars to do the roles had not been an unwise one. In the third place in box office list had been the animated flick Kung Fu Panda 2 movie which had manged to earn $24.3 million. Following it had been Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides movie with $18 million. With the new opening both these movie seemed to have had to take one step down from the places which they had secured in the week before.

With X-Men: First Class movie launching the prequel story in an impressive manner it should be added that fans of the comic series too had been thoroughly entertained and filled with action from beginning to end it had kept onlookers at the edge of their seats. Bridesmaids movie had managed to secure the fifth place at box office as it had made a quite a fine amount of $12.1 and this had been the movie’s fourth week since its release. Paramount Pictures project Thor movie had manged to land the sixth place at box office list and the last week earnings of the super hero flick came to an amount of $4.2 millions.
