Black Swan Tops Foreign Box Office for the Third Week

Black Swan movie one of the favorites at academy awards has held the top place of foreign box office for third consecutive week and Black Swan movie appears to be doing impressively not only as a critically acclaimed movie but as a commercial success as well. Vying to win fine academy awards the psychological drama about a disturbed ballerina had so far made a total amount of $122.6 million at foreign market which includes $17 million made in last week. Despite failing domestically science fiction flick I Am Number Four movie appears to be doing just fine in foreign markets for it had grossed an amount of $16.3 million managing to secure the second place at box office and so far this flick has an overall amount of $19.3 million.

With lead given by academy award contender Black Swan movie the third and fourth places had been secured by another two motion pictures vying to win accolades. Thus following the prior mentioned science fiction is western drama True Grit movie which had gone on to tuck an amount of $13.5 million under its belt. Next in line doing commercially well was The King’s Speech movie which had grossed $12 million last week. The western flick appeared to have received quite favorable response form south east Asian counties for it had ended up in second place in countries like Hong Kong and South Korea. The historical and biographical drama had much attention paid to it after it opened in United Kingdom.



Black Swan movie thus seems to be doing impressive both domestically and internationally receiving favorable responses. In foreign box office list fifth place had been nabbed by romantic comedy flick Just Go With It movie which had managed to secure an amount of 9.4 million and the overall grossing of this flick is $25.1 million. In addition to these it can be noticed that some other Oscar nominee motion pictures appear to receive favorable reception from audiences and it can also be noted that some of them have finished running at the foreign market while some are still trying to get a hold there.
