Kardashian was one of the last people to interview Taylor when the two women agreed to chat for a recent issue of Harper's Bazaar - but plans for them to meet face to face fell flat as the movie icon fell sick.
The Keeping up With the Kardashians star says, "We had a tea set up for me to come over to her house and have tea and then she got sick and they postponed it... so I never got the chance to meet her."
Instead, the interview for the publication was conducted via email - and Kardashian admits the experience will remain a highlight of her life for many years to come.
She adds, "I learned so much from her just from that interview that that was enough for me... I asked her to follow me on Twitter and she said, 'Of course.'"
Generous Taylor also allowed the reality TV star to don some of her iconic movie costumes for a shoot accompanying the interview piece.
Kardashian explains, "I wore her original costumes from Cleopatra and it was honestly such an honour."
